VoxGuess lets friends, families, students and remote teams compete at identifying spoken languages. Every clip uses a real human voice, and no account or download is required.

How multiplayer works

1. Choose Play together on the VoxGuess homepage.
2. Enter a display name and select the number of rounds.
3. Create the room and send its private invite link to the other players.
4. Start when everyone has joined. Players hear the same challenge set and progress independently.
5. Compare the final standings after everyone finishes.

It rewards accuracy and speed

Correct answers earn points, with a bonus for the fastest correct response. Each player has up to one minute per round, so a careful listener can still compete with a quick guesser.

• Friends: send the room link in your group chat and compare who has the sharpest ear.
• Classrooms: play in pairs or teams and discuss the evidence behind each guess.
• Remote teams: use it as a short browser-based icebreaker before a call.
• Language clubs: turn each answer into a conversation about language families and sound patterns.

No shared schedule required

Once the host starts the room, everyone completes the rounds at their own pace. A player who joins from another device does not need to stay on the same screen or advance at exactly the same moment as the host.
